We had an emergency with our Harry the cat after hours and rang our local vet (65kms away) they were closed and the message was they are now linked with VetChat. I will admit I was not happy as I thought it would be another poor online service. I could not have been more wrong, within a couple of minutes of putting in my info I had a real vet face to face (via video chat) who was able to guide us through what the problem was and how to manage it. When we realised the issue Harry was experiencing using VetChat saved him suffering considerably through a 40 minute drive should we have taken him to our vet. Thanks to the vet who saw Harry we were able to resolve his issue using her instructions and he was out of pain very quickly. The following morning I received a follow-up call from our vet to check on Harry's progress. We will definitely be using VetChat again.

After having concerns with our foxie x puppy on a Sunday morning, we called Vetchat. We could not have been more thankful for the comfort and advice given for our little pup. A wonderful service giving us (the public) professional help to care of our fur babies when a physical vet is not on hand. I can not recommend the service more highly. If there were 10 stars, that’s what I would give you. I didn’t catch the vets name on the day, but she was wonderfully kind and caring. Thankfully our little boy is happy and making an excellent recovery.

This has been my seond call with Vet-Chat about my recently adopted puppy. In both instances, I found the service to be fantastic. The wait time was very short, both vets I spoke with were extremely professional, kind and friendly and provided excellent advice. Using the Vet-Chat service saved me time and gave me piece of mind so I highly reccomend it.

We found ourselves having to use VetChat for the first time this week. Our dog had an allergic reaction to mosquito bites and was covered in uncomfortable welts. Our Vet had no appointments available on the day, so we quickly jumped on VetChat. This gave us the reassurance of what treatment and dosage we could give our dog. This is a great service, especially when its not life threatening and you cant get into your normal vet. Thank You P and L Bensley

It was a fantastic relief to find the VetChat service during an emergency at 1:30am on a Sunday morning. I was travelling interstate at the time, so dealing with an unexpected pet emergency in the middle of the night was quite frightening. Dr Alexia who I spoke with, immediately grasped both the seriousness of the situation and the complications of me not being a local and also being in a remote location. Her calm, supportive and extremely helpful handling of the call made such a difference! She assessed the situation, provided advice and guidance and set us up with an emergency vet in a near by town, where my dog was treated by a wonderful vet in person. My pup seems to be doing well now and with some follow-up treatment in the coming weeks should be a-ok. Thank you again for the amazing service!

A brilliant service. I was connected with a vet immediately both times. The vet, Justine, was excellent & very knowledgeable; they suggested some great treatments using things I already had at home to try before taking my dog to the vet. The simple home treatments worked, which meant my dog could feel better a lot sooner and didn’t have to go through the stress of taking her to the vet, and I saved $400+ on what would have been after hours vet fees.

I'd give the VetChat team 6 stars if I could as I've relied on their advice so many times! My dog Lettie had a chronic skin problem that was constantly flaring up, and I felt silly (and wasteful) taking her to the vet all the time. But each time I had a problem I sent Claire some photos and she talked me through the options. It's piece of mind more than anything else.

I would like to say we had a great experience with Dr Sarah Molloy and appreciate the help that she gave us to make us feel a lot more comfortable and less stressed with the situation with our little dog at 2.30 in the morning. Having the video chat option is great as it's nice to be able to show what was going on instead of trying to describe it. Thanks so much.

Vet Chat is the most amazing after hours service for pets. My little cavoodle managed to get his paws on some chocolate containing sultanas. To say I was stressed was an understatement as this occurred after hours and could have been fatal. Vet chat ran me through everything and took calculations regarding his weight and the consumed chocolate and provided me with assistance and took down all our details ahead of time if the worst was to occur so they could streamline the emergency process. Turns out my Cavodle was all good but the next two days they checked in with me via email to see if everything was ok. I then need a vet invoice my costs $59 for private health cover and their response was immediate - what an amazing service staffed with caring and compassionate vets and support staff Make sure you put them in your mobile phone you never know when you will need it to save a pets life. I spoke to Kristen from Vet Chat last night about my beautiful Maremma, Pedro, who was suffering with reoccurring stomach pain. She firstly calmed me and then worked through strategies to help him. It was wonderful to talk to a vet who was so interested in a holistic approach, diet, probiotics, then medicine if required. Thankyou for this service especially for someone who lives 300kms from the nearest vet clinic.
